A generous donor has offered to match dollar-for-dollar every contribution VOF receives before December 15, 2008, up to $50,000. That means the value of your donation will go twice as far in helping VOF continue to preserve Virginia’s open spaces. Why Donate Now? This grant has come at a critical time in the history of VOF. For more than 40 years, we have been helping Virginia landowners place conservation easements on their property. In the last four years, VOF has experienced exponential growth in the number of acres under easement, growing from at total of 250,000 protected acres in 2004 to anticipating more than 500,000 in 2008. However, with a recent budget cut in our state General Fund appropriation and anticipated additional mid-year cuts, state economic conditions threaten our progress. We need your help. Once matched by the challenge grant, your tax-deductible gift of $100, $1,000, or $10,000 will grow to $200, $2,000, or $20,000 right at a time when we need it most. Make your contribution today!
